Returns & Refunds Policy for United Ugandans Association of Colorado (UUACO)
At the United Ugandans Association of Colorado (“UUACO,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), we value transparency, fairness, and customer satisfaction. This Returns & Refunds Policy explains the terms under which items purchased through the UUACO website or related sales channels may be canceled, returned, exchanged, or refunded. It is intended to help buyers understand their options and responsibilities before and after making a purchase.
This Policy applies to physical goods, merchandise, and other eligible products sold by UUACO unless a different refund or cancellation policy is clearly stated for a particular item, event, campaign, or transaction. By placing an order with UUACO, you agree to the terms of this Returns & Refunds Policy.
1. Right to Cancel an Order
You are entitled to cancel your order within 30 days without giving any reason, provided that the item is eligible for cancellation and return under this Policy. The cancellation period expires 30 days from the date on which you, or a third party you designate who is not the carrier, receive the goods.
To exercise your right to cancel, you must inform us of your decision through a clear written statement. You may do so by email using the contact information listed below. Your cancellation request should include enough detail for us to identify your order, such as your name, order number, the item purchased, and the date of delivery.

If you cancel your order within the permitted period and your item qualifies for return, you must return the goods in accordance with the instructions set out in this Policy.
2. Return Eligibility
To be eligible for a return, the following conditions must be met:
The item must have been purchased within the last 30 days.
The item must be unused, undamaged, and in substantially the same condition in which it was received.
The item must be returned in its original packaging, where applicable.
The item must include any accessories, tags, instructions, or documentation that came with it, if relevant.
Proof of purchase, such as an order confirmation, receipt, or transaction record, may be required.
UUACO reserves the right to inspect returned items before approving a refund or exchange. If a returned item does not meet the conditions set out in this Policy, we may refuse the return or offer only a partial refund where appropriate and permitted.
3. Non-Returnable Items
Certain goods are not eligible for return, refund, or exchange. These include, but are not limited to:
Goods made to your specifications or clearly personalized.
Custom-branded, special-order, or made-to-order items.
Goods that are perishable or deteriorate rapidly.
Goods with an expired shelf life or limited usability period.
Items not suitable for return for health protection or hygiene reasons once unsealed after delivery.
Goods that, after delivery, have been inseparably mixed with other items.
Digital products, downloadable materials, or electronic content once accessed or delivered, unless otherwise stated.
Final-sale or clearance items where the product listing clearly states that the sale is final.
Donations, membership dues, sponsorship payments, and other voluntary contributions, unless UUACO determines otherwise in its sole discretion or unless required by law.
Because UUACO may occasionally sell merchandise, event-related products, or fundraising items, some offerings may also be governed by specific campaign terms. Where a product or transaction has its own special return conditions, those terms will apply in addition to or instead of this Policy.
4. How to Start a Return
If you wish to return an eligible item, you should contact UUACO as soon as possible within the 30-day return period. To help us process your request promptly, please include:
Your full name.
Your email address or phone number used for the order.
Your order number or proof of purchase.
The name or description of the item.
The reason for the return, if applicable.
A clear statement that you wish to cancel or return the order.

After receiving your request, UUACO may provide return instructions, including any additional details necessary to complete the return process.
5. Return Shipping
Unless otherwise stated in writing, you are responsible for the cost and risk of returning goods to UUACO. This includes shipping charges, packaging costs, insurance, and any other fees associated with returning the item.
You should use a secure, trackable, and, where appropriate, insured shipping method. UUACO is not responsible for goods that are lost, delayed, misdirected, or damaged during return shipment. For that reason, we strongly recommend that you retain proof of postage and delivery tracking information until your return has been processed.

UUACO cannot issue a refund unless the returned item is actually received, or unless you provide sufficient proof that the return was successfully delivered.
6. Refund Process
Once we receive and inspect your returned goods, we will notify you whether your refund has been approved. If approved, reimbursement will be made no later than 30 days from the day we receive the returned goods, or from the day we receive adequate proof that the goods were returned, whichever is applicable under our review process.
Refunds will generally be issued using the same method of payment that you used for the original transaction, unless another method is agreed upon. UUACO does not intend to charge fees for processing a refund, although your bank, payment provider, or card issuer may apply its own timelines or charges outside our control.
Refunds may be reduced or denied if:
The returned goods are damaged due to misuse, neglect, or improper handling after delivery.
The goods are missing parts, accessories, or original packaging where such materials were reasonably required.
The return falls outside the applicable return period.
The item is non-returnable under this Policy.
The request does not comply with the terms and procedures stated herein.
7. Damaged, Defective, or Incorrect Items
If you receive an item that is damaged, defective, or different from what you ordered, please contact UUACO as soon as possible after delivery. To assist with review, we may ask you to provide photographs, a description of the issue, and proof of purchase.
Where appropriate, UUACO may, at its discretion:
Replace the item.
Offer an exchange.
Provide a full or partial refund.
Offer store credit or another appropriate remedy.
UUACO reserves the right to determine the most suitable resolution based on the circumstances of the case.
8. Exchanges
UUACO may allow exchanges for certain eligible items, such as when a product is defective, damaged, or the wrong item was sent. Exchanges are subject to product availability. If an exchange is not possible, UUACO may offer a refund or another reasonable alternative.

9. Gifts
If an item was marked as a gift at the time of purchase and shipped directly to you, you may be eligible to receive a gift credit for the value of the returned item once the return is approved and processed. If the gift was not marked as such at the time of purchase, or if the purchaser had the order shipped to themselves before giving it to you, any approved refund will generally be issued to the original purchaser using the original payment method.
10. Event Purchases, Donations, and Special Transactions
UUACO may occasionally process transactions that are different from standard merchandise sales, such as event registrations, gala tickets, sponsorships, fundraising purchases, membership dues, or donations. These transactions may be subject to separate cancellation, transfer, or refund terms.
Unless otherwise stated in writing:
Donations are generally non-refundable.
Membership dues are generally non-refundable once processed.
Event ticket refunds may depend on the timing of cancellation, event expenses already incurred, or event-specific terms.
Sponsorship and promotional payments may be non-refundable once related commitments have been made.
Where special terms apply, those terms will control.
11. Policy Misuse and Reservation of Rights
UUACO reserves the right to refuse returns, refunds, cancellations, or exchanges where it reasonably believes that a request is fraudulent, abusive, manipulative, or inconsistent with this Policy. We also reserve the right to update, modify, or replace this Returns & Refunds Policy at any time, provided that changes will not retroactively affect orders already accepted unless required by law.
